A “Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences” anunciou os 15 pré-indicados ao 83º Academy Awards para Efeitos Visuais. Os Indicados:

•“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″
•“Hereafter”
•“Inception”
•“Iron Man 2″
•“The Last Airbender”
•“Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief“
•“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”
•“Scott Pilgrim vs the World”
•“Shutter Island”
•“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”
•“Tron: Legacy”
•“Unstoppable”
Em Janeiro, os membros da Academia vão tirar alguns dos semifinalistas e só sobrarão sete. Depois disso, os mesmos membros irão assistir 15 minutos de cada filme e votar nos cinco melhores para o Oscar. A Premiação será realizada no dia 25 de Janeiro, 5:30 ( nos EUA ), pela ABC.
